Day Two – Today was Schoolhouse Day! A day full of attending different rooms, getting lost a lot, and finding out what is new on the market. We saw Eleanor Burns with her revised log cabin book, Westalee Rulers new templates and creative ways to kit products. BJ’s favorite was this adorable giraffe quilt. Lita’s was Kimberbell’s new quilt, but if you know Lita you know that she likes anything cute. Mine had to be a new BOM that we will have as soon as the fabric arrives from Cozy Quilt, Park Plaza.
After all that work we went to dinner with our dear friends, Cathy, Jan, Sue, Julie, Carol and Marty Britt. They hail from North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia. We share ideas, successes, failures, laugh, sometimes cry, and always feel better being around them.
Our finale for the day was Sampler Spree, how do I describe this? Here is my personal definition; where otherwise civil, kind ladies turn into aggressive greedy shoppers. Actually it was not that bad this year although there was a lot of pushing and shoving, but it was worth it! We are bringing you home goodies that we purchased with you in mind.
As we walked back to our hotel we went through the park. There was a huge celebration with bands and several people dressed up in unusual dress. It was mystical, magical and exciting. What were they all celebrating? Day of the Dead!
