I have to admit, I did buy some things. Things I don't need but tugged at my heart, a brooch to wear on my beret, a postcard of a child and a Chinese checker board without any marbles. All total I spent $42, I am pleased with my purchases and know I will love them. I will put them with other things I don't need but seem to speak to my soul.
When we came home I looked at the pictures I took, it was almost embarrassing. There they were, all these pictures of old quilts. My heart is into quilts, I can drive over 1,000 miles and still I am drawn to the combination of fabric and design. Some of you understand, for those of you who don't I can't imagine why you are reading this blog. Although I talk about other things like tractors and dogs, it is still focused around needle and thread. I can't help myself, it always comes back to the love of fabric and design, and the unquenchable desire to share it with the world. |
