They all live within 20 miles from each other while I am over four hours away. Next month is my birthday, a big milestone. What do I want more than anything as a gift? To see my sisters. Road trip here I come.

![]() I have four sisters and sometimes my heart aches to see them. As we have gotten older I don't take their company or their friendship nearly as granted as I did when we were young. As teenagers we didn't always get along and went our own separate ways for many years. Now we seem to have more in common, loving so many of the same things. I recently spoke and taught at the Timeless Treasures Guild in Guymon, OK. I had such a great experience there, the group of ladies were fun and had wonderful quilts to show during their Show and Share. I love going to guilds to see this part of the program, I always get inspired.
One particular quilt really struck me, it was a quilt done by Margie Lobit. Margie said she has been trying to use up her stash. The quilt contained fabric from not only her daughter's stash and her personal stash but also her mother's stash. Three generations of fabric, how in the world would that work? Margie has an eye for color and I am not using that phrase loosely. As you can see from the picture, the variety of fabrics folded into each other making a lovely quilt. I don't know if Margie followed a pattern or made up the design. It is a simple pattern but made so interesting with the fabrics she chose. I thank her for bringing it, now I have to do one similar to it. |
